Appearance:
Nelanie sometimes called Nel or Nelly for short. She is 5'3" with long dark black hair that looks blueish in some light, her hair is always tied back into her pony tail to keep it out of her eyes. She has a strange set of eye color being one is blue the other is gray, because she is in the Scientific Research district she was able to get a set of contract to correct her vision and change her eye color to a simple brown., if she is not wearing her contract she is wearing her black frame glasses. Her skin is lightly tan because of the time that she gets to spend in the sun. She wears simple clothes of a black pants, with a simple white shirt with a black zip up hoodie. On her feet or a pair of white runners with white socks.

Personality:
She is easy going and loves being with others. It is said that she can charm her way with words, getting people to listen to her and see things her way. When she is angered it doesn't seem like she is because she hides it and smiles on the outside, while she is making plans on how to get back at the person that angered her; cause of this she is very cunning and a good strategist.

History:
She was born in district six along with her twin brother Ali. The first two years of her was okay. Until the death of her mother. The next few years were hard on the family with only one person bring in the money. At the age of 5 she started going to school. One day while walking past the research lab she saw someone drop something, she quickly pick it up, at that young age her curiosity got the best of her and she open to file to find leaves in it. She close the file and return it to the person that it belong to. The next 5 years past by good for her. When she was ten there was a position at research lab to be an assistant to some of the scientist that worked here, she wrote an excellent letter of why she should be they assistant. She later got the job, because of this she is allowed to leave the distant for a few hours a day after school and before school to collect plants, herbs, and roots for the research lab which they use to make medicine, because of this she learn what plants she can use to for medicine and how to make them from watching the scientist at work. She would also get some plants that could be use to food to help feed her family. While working there she got a small pay that she would use to help buy food from the market. Her father later died when she and her brother was only 11. So her brother had to get a job to help support them both so they have enough money coming in to support themselves. They lives like this with any of the peacekeepers knowing. Now at the age of 13 at the ready age of reaping they work and go to school all while worrying about what they would do if there were to get reaped.

She was sitting outside in the fields with a basket. Her hand covered with dirt from digging in the ground getting the roots that were needed to make medicine. She looked up at the sky, watching as it started going from purple and orange. "Shit.... I'm going to be late." She said out loud to no one really. She got up dusting off her clothes, she grabs the basket and started running back to the district. Coming to the gates she pulled out her card that gave her special permission to leave the district to the at selected times showing the peacekeeper the card he open the gate and let her in. She flashed him a smile and thanked him. Running down the street she headed to the research lab. She slowed down getting there walking into the doors she smiled at the man working at the desk he didn't her a second look and motion for her to doors where she can drop off her basket. She nodded even though she already knew where it was. She smiled at the scientist working in the lab that morning. "Good Morning. Here are the plants that you ask me to collect." Placing the basket on the counter. "I shall be after school." The scientist just nodded and wrote her a note to give her to teacher so that she doesn't get punish for being late for school. She took the note and thanked him before running out of the place. She ran the whole say to school, not wanting to be any later that she would already be. Getting to the school she looked up at the sky seeing it a nice blue, turning her head to the clock she looked at the time seeing that she is only 10 mins late. She walked into the school making her way to her class, entered she told the teacher sorry for being late and headed her the note before taking her seat.
