| American Idol has always seemed very stupid to me. I cannot stand shows like that; if you're going to be famous, do it off raw talent, not so stories. I do like some of the winners, though...
Harley, you should watch Once Upon a Time. It's really good, and not too girly or...masculine, I guess :/

| It's not that don't like the show. It just always seems like they put to attention on the people with sob stories more than the people with pure talent. Thus when the people vote. They are more likely to vote for the person with story because they feel bad for them. The evidence is Chris Daughtry. He should have one but everyone voted for the person who they felt bad for.
As for Once Upon a Time. What are they rated. My mom is pretty strict when it comes to what I watch. It's not the violence I am worried about. It's mainly the language and the sexual content being the deciding the decided factors. Language being the lesser of the two

| I don't watch American Idol, because I know I'll end up being one of the people voting for sob stories I don't watch much TV in general, so when I do, it's usually something my mom's watching or something I've seen in an ad. The language is no big deal, and as for sexual content, it's pretty limited. We watch it with my seven-year-old sister, so I think you should be good. Rating's PG. | |

| Yeah, you should be fine. There's only one episode that has a bit o blood and my mom wouldn't let my eight year old sister watch and that's out of the whole season, so it's fine! | |

| He is one of my faves. I have most of his song on my tablet. He had more talent than all the contestant that year put together. Who that year anyway. It must have been someone who went on to do nothing because I can't remember. | |

I am still filled with rage that he didn't win. Taylor Hicks was horrible.

| What confuses me is the fact Chris Daughtry did not win. I believe he has more awards than one who won the show. It goes to show that person with the most talent does not always win. And don't even get me started on the talentless lump named Taylor Hicks. He was so bad that he did not get a record deal after he won. | |

I think the reason Chris didn't win was because he was offered a job as the lead singer of Fuel. I believe the rules of AI state that you have to be an unsigned singer, and even being offered a job must have nulled his eligibility somehow.

| Just read through his Wiki page. It said he declined the offer. But as you said it was still an infringement in the rules. It's funny how people are still talking about this even after 6 years. It's always mentioned and implied at the end of each live show. Becuase they made so the judges could save some one. Who they thought should not have gone home. It was put in effect to prevent people like Chris from going home.

| Just finished reading it about an hour ago. Really good book. Now I just have to get ahold the third one. I love how it ended. Makes you want to go out and buy the third one right away. When I joined I had only read the first one. So I was like, Why are is this forum doing it before Katniss and Gale. Now I know why. Because we would be down a couple of Districts. | |

| ...I never thought of that. Very insightful, Harley.
You definately should get your hands on the book-reserve it at a library or something. I bought the books at a book fair for my school, so my friends keep saying, "Hey, can I borrow the Hunger Games?" because you can't find them. Anywhere. It's all because the movie's coming out, I bet (bandwagon jumpers -_-)

| The second I finished the first one, I ordered Catching Fire and Mockingjay off of Amazon on sale for $10 a piece. I couldn't put them down. I finished Catching Fire in about six hours, and Mockingjay in about eight. | |

| I read the first Hunger Games in a day and a half, 'cause of school stuff, although I've read it in a day before. Catching Fire took me about a day, and Mockingjay took me three-it was a lot to process! | |

| O.O Now I know why the rest of the world calls us British people slow. D8 It took me two days or so to read the first one then the other two...about...12 days to read each of them... I have far too many things to do than reading, just saying. Though I couldn't put the first one down... xD
Oh, and I threw Mockingjay across the room and neglected it for one of those 12 days. I was so angry with it, and at the end I couldn't stomach reading it, I just chucked it n the floor when I finished, I haven't seen it since, but I know were it is. HATED the ending... urgh!
