As Nathan stepped out of the train and entered the Capitol, he instantly noted how much of a difference it had to the Districts. He eyed the streets quickly, before making his way to the centre. Stretching his arms slightly he sighed, then stood up his back resting against the corner of a building, though he didn’t take any time to even bother to look at what the actual building was. He cracked his knuckles. Gazing upwards again, it was far more than what he was used to, despite the fact he had been to the Capitol once before. He wasn’t in charge here like he was in District 10, he loved being an authoritarian figure and punishing people in District 10, having them all know his name. It was a glorious feeling.

Here, however, he had no power. He was lower down in the chain here, and he didn’t like it, he narrowed his eyes, not in spite but in squint as he looked over to a large building, which was white. He knew it was where the ‘main man’ would stay, and he grumbled, fully aware that he performed such an action too himself, but it didn’t matter. He thought back to the girl whom he had stopped in District 11, Melody. He smirked; she ought to be careful if the two ever met again. This was why, of course, he loved to be in control, it gave him the power that not very many other people nearby had. Nathan had taken a great deal of pleasure beating up that helpless kid that tried to run away with the stolen goods, of course he wasn’t there to be liked.

His clothing was intentionally in eccentric, his brown shirt with short sleeves, and camo trousers. All was designed to make Nathan’s muscle mass look stronger, he wasn’t here to look for trouble, unless someone came at him. Sighing slightly he picked his body up, straightening himself up, and he walked along the streets, making giving himself a slightly larger prowess than he normally would have done. He stretched his arms slightly, his arm muscles tensed and he shook his hands at his sides, a sign of nervousness. It wasn’t something that Nathan was used to, and he didn’t like it.

The Peacekeeper picked up his pace. And his size made it slightly hard to not bump into anyone, he shifted his body to the side as several Capitol members walked in a linear line that showed no sign of being broken until they reached were they wanted to go, it was an almost ghost like way of approaching life that Nathan mentally shrugged at. In his quick pace it was inevitable that he was going to walk into someone, or at least brush against someone at the best, so he was moderately surprised when he managed to navigate around the place successfully. It was evidently rush hour, and Nathan cursed under his breath at the trains awful timing. Nathan then felt something hit him as he looked to his left; he came to abrupt stop, then jolted back slightly.

A Person had bashed into him, and Nathan glared at them, “What the hell are you doing!?” Despite the fact Nathan was probably lower down than this person, he wasn’t going to go soft, his voice was strong, and his arms tensed up slightly, just in case he had to defend himself.

”Don’t hate me for this. It’s your fault after all. This is what happens when you don’t love you’re children. Just be happy I’m not addicted or in jail yet!” Snow screamed the last words of the fight and slammed his door shut. That was the first time he had talked to his dad in forty nine days. The last time he had talked to his father that wasn’t a shouting match was 114 days ago. Part of the scared teen wanted to believe he had a father that cared about him, but another half was screaming at him to expose his father for the hateful man he was and in turn… gain his power.

Usually when he did something rebellious like get caught drunk at a party, his father wouldn’t even confront him. One of his servants would lecture Snow, but not this time. He got caught three nights in a row, one of which was publicized. At the time, Snow wanted to gain his father’s attention, he wanted his father to look him in the eye… He tired to believe that the man was capable of compassion, but the only thing his eyes betrayed was pure hate. Hate and fear. The President hated even his own son and he lived in fear of what his son would become. Good riddance.

Snow peeked out his door and seeing a clear coast, he headed down the enormous house and out the front door. He closed his eyes silently wishing, ‘don’t confront me, don’t confront me, leave me alone –‘ ”Sir, Sir. Erm… master Snow? You aren’t allowed out today.”
Sucking in air to keep his head cool, he stated, ”I don’t care about the rules my father laid out for me. Goodbye, whatever your name is.” He flashed his girl winning smile and quickly changed it into an angsty eye-roll.

Today, Snow had a thin line of eye liner surrounding his entire eye to make his eyes pop. To match and cause a darker edge to his stereotype: white as Snow, he also had a line of sprayed on black down the middle of his white blond hair. The spray was meant to last for a week. He walked through the streets, forcing a smile on his face. He had to seem moderately pleasant if he ever wanted to gain power. And so, when people smiled at him, the famous son of the President, he would grudgingly wave back. He headed for the alleyways, wanting to get out of any possible crowds and mobs. Crossing a streets, his scrawny form and years of practice easily weaved through the people. He kept his head down trying not to get spotted as easily, but his height wasn’t the most convenient. He looked behind him to make sure that he had no followers – WHAM ”Watch where you’re going!” Snow shouted entirely too loud and too angry sounding. You could even hear it above the shouting of the other boy who promptly ran into his shoulder. And he was blaming it on him? The nerve. By looking at him, it was clear he an outsider. Arching an eyebrow, Snow stated, ”bold of you to be yelling at someone when you aren’t even from here.” The boy was used to authority, that was obvious. And he was very strong, that too was clear. Peacekeeper? He wasn’t sure, but he had to be careful.

Nathan nearly punched this kid in the face as he spoke, but as he realised who he had bumped into, he refrained from doing so. Simply clenching both his fists and his hands to occupy himself as the President’s son spoke, despite being a Peacekeeper, Nathan didn’t endorse the boys’ presence, nor did he endorse his attitude. The next words caught Nathan’s attention and he glared at the boy with intense hatred. ‘Outsider’ was something he didn’t like being called, but now that he was a Peacekeeper, it just topped the scale. “I’ll have you know, that I am Peacekeeper Johansson of District Ten! Quite famous. I do the reaping whilst our... Capitol controller is ill or anything of the sort. I will be the one going round the Districts this year and pulling out the names, if all goes to plan, I love seeing the kids break down when their name is called. Yes...though of course I never get that in District 2.” He showed next to no respect to the President’s son, it wasn’t needed. Nathan had been brought up in District 2. Discipline was needed in this empty casket. Not that it was up to Nathan to intervene with the boys affairs. He did truly enjoy the reaping. Especially of his main appointed District, District 10.

“You are the one who needs to watch were they are going.” He spoke dryly, rubbing his right arm with the other. Despite being the main Peacekeeper throughout all the Districts, Nathan knew better than to outright slag off the President’s son, so for now Nathan remained quiet. That said, he did not like the look of this Sixteen year old, or so he guessed anyway. The Capitol was not one of Nathan’s favourite places, purely because he wasn’t in control. It had been a very long time since Nathan had had some fun, even if the victim had managed to escape his grasps, he was now searching for Melody Fraeder like a hunter looking for its prey. He was determined to get her, though he hadn’t heard from her for a long time, clearly this showed the Peacekeeper that she knew how to keep a low profile.

Nathan had a general dislike towards stroppy kids. There weren’t so many due to the Games, but still, he certainly enjoyed putting them down, it was his...favourite past time so to speak. (Even though he was perfectly aware that Mel wasn’t stroppy in anyway.) “Now why did you run into me!?” Emphasis was placed on the quick statement and Nathan cracked his knuckles, not too menacing though, as he didn’t want people thinking that he was preparing to attack the President’s son. No. He wasn’t stupid enough to do that.

The man’s eyes left the boys face and moved back to looking at the surrounding Capitol, it was quite a nice place to be honest. Nathan just didn’t endorse the fact that it was so over populated and generally busy. It meant that it was practically impossible not to bump into someone, but Nathan was far too stubborn to admit that he had been the one that had walked into the boy, plus, he was perfectly set on the idea that the boy had walked into him in the first place. This then brought Nathan’s eyes back to the boy.

Snow ground his teeth, fully aware that he was entirely too much of a teenager to gain respect from others. He wasn't allowed to act on impulse, he had to think about his instincts, be dogmatic and fearful while maintaining a likability. It was insanely hard to pull off, especially when he was angry, but once he could fully capture this manner of living, he could be great. The next presidency was his for the taking, and so, he couldn't dare lose his temper.

Eyes of passers-by strayed on him as they walked passed. He got as much attention as the petty tributes, you'd think the attention would stop by now, he had talked to almost everyone in the Capitol, whether he like it or not. He forced a smile at the people that he caught staring. At what the boy, the young Peacekeeper said, Snow arched an eyebrow. He didn't appreciate the disrespect or the superiority the boy tried to relay, but Snow replied, "uh, yes. That's my favorite part too. Though, my father is quite the wus isn't he. Always in "bad health." He doesn't have the gut to rule Panem, his vision has been contorted to evil. That's not what Panem needs. Trust me, if I wasn't on constant lock-down, I would be out there too. It's a shame the poor children hate their moment of possible glory. Apparently someone rushed at my father with a knife, that's why he's skittish to return." Snow once again rolled his eyes, hoping that no one saw. "Sulking" (as people put it) was not an emotion he was allowed to express.

Of course, the stupid boy had to defy Snow again. This time, he was nearly incapable of letting it slide. He had to calm down the instincts to get up and fight or throw a punch. God, Snow was so incredibly spoiled and so incredibly aware of the fact. Except, riches were forgotten if he didn't know the meaning of love. No one cared about him. Not his father. Not the people. Not his friends. "Ex-cuse me?" The words were bitter. If anyone was watching it would be obvious that the young Peacekeeper was the one that ran into him.

Hmm, this boy was very bold. Arms crossed, knuckles cracked, a menacing stare... whether Snow liked it or not, if the boy threw the first punch, suck-ups would rush to his aid and the boy would be deported. And so, Snow matched the boy's intense glare, though his eyes were the only thing unmovable. He had to keep his face as stoic as possible. "I think that's a question you should ask yourself, sir." He put so much emphasis, disgust, hatred, and everything he was feeling into that one word in hopes that his intention was clear.
