Name: Talia Alderwood
Age: 16
Member of: District Seven

What profession are you (optional): Student, Paper mill worker

Appearance:

Tali has long, blonde hair that was passed to her from her father's side. It has natural curls that falls to her shoulder blades; and she wears it in various styles. Occasionally from a trip back from the woods, she will have a flower in her hair. Her has have cuts and scars on its palms from her factory works, but only on the inner side of her hands. Her face is soft, with a slight heart shape. With soft, green eyes, she seems to stand out among others, so ofteh she will hide the majority of her hair in an old knit hat. She is about five foot six, but for a small figure is very strong. This would be due to living in district 7.

Like others, she has very few personal possessions. She wears worn leather boots that were once her mothers when she was younger. They have managed to fit to Tali over time. Usually she wears black pants, and has a few shirts that she tries to take good care of.Often she will wear articles of clothing that had belonged to her father.

Personality:

Tali has a soft-spoken aura to her. Her heart is soft, and always in the right place. When it comes to other people, she is always kind, but it’s difficult to start the conversation. She had a certain shyness to her. Even so, she is very observant due to her accident. She notices things about people that sometimes they might not. Talia has an undying loyalty to her family. She is very attached to her little brother, Aspen. Her mother works very often. She is deticated to them and their health. She wishes for a better world, but can not see how she can fix it alone. These characteristics build a drive within her.

She doesn’t talk a lot about her broken hearing. A fair amount of people know. It obstructs her sometimes though, because when her hears begin to ring she tries to continue on with the conversation, but sometimes it hurts.

Talia’s greatest fear is loneliness. Losing her father was devastating to her, and her home has always felt empty with her brothers gone. She doesn’t really know how to make friends since she grew up with three brothers to occupy her. Nowadays, she does her best to get around the village and meet new people.

Tali is a fast runner. From childhood she had learned that she was swift. Often running from her brothers in games, she could evade them in the tough terrain.

History:
Talia’s family are traditional loggers. Until age twelve, Talia lived with her parents, Basil and Richard. With permission to live just outside of the city, due to their profession. Well respected for their long history of logging, the family held on to survival in the forest. She grew up alongside three brother, all fantastic loggers. They often player with sticks and such as children. However, when Richard lost his life in a tragic lumber-accident, the family was forced to move into the district. Tali no longer had to trek through miles of forest to get to school. Though she missed the peace, sometimes still wandering off to find the solitude.

Two of her brothers, twins named Douglas and Larix, moved out of the new home about two years later. What was left was Talia, Basil, and her younger brother. Their home was a wreck. In district seven they allow younger workers, so at age fourteen Talia joined her mother in a paper factory, working long shifts to try and get money. The pay was poor and working conditions as well. One day, an old factory generation blew up. Two workers died. Talia lost the majority of her hearing for a long period of time, until it slowly returned to her. Often her ears fill with a high pitch sound, blocking out a majority of what people say. Due to this she had learned to pay extra attention to people’s expressions and body language.
