We's going to go watch a horror movie ((The dazzling Wills ;) ))

Storm lazed on the couch waiting in anticipation for Luke to come home. They decided that as a treat they would watch a movie that night. Storm had never seen anything on tv other than the games and he could not wait to see something. He had been told that what they were watching that night was a horror movie - something that was supposed to make their skin churn. He constantly looked at the clock waiting for when Luke would be home and as a little schoolboy would frown realizing that not even a minute had passed since he last looked. He instantly grew bored with the situation and called out for company. "Tweed, get down here!" By saying this, he threw his head onto the back of the couch and looked up the stairs. He heard no sign of movement and knew why. Wills had decided to find a nickname 'suiting' for him and obviously, it had to be Sparky. And Will being her over controlling self did not agree with the nickname that he came up for her on the spot. It made perfect sense to him, in fact, it was clear as mudd, but she didn't approve of it and so therefore would not come when he called her by that name.

Sighing in defeat, Storm called again, "Wills! Come on ok." Then shifting to an unrecognisable accent that he made up on the spot, he desperately finished, "I need company!" He looked over at the cloak again, barely a minute had passed since he last looked at it. Shooting up into a sitting position and grabbing a pillow along the way he bounced as Luke was due home in five minutes. "Wills!" He called again in that aggravated voice. "We should start it now, oh, I'll go make some pop corn - hurry up, where's Luke? What's this movie called?" He jumped up and looked through the pantry. Upon finding no pop corn his face fell, but hearing a noise from outside, he got really excited again. He looked almost exactly like a puppy getting to go on a walk.

Willow Fidele’s bedroom was rather plain, but she loved it nonetheless. The walls were striped; alternating between a navy blue and a bold white. There were four windows, each had two sheer curtains hanging from a metal curtail rod above the window. Under one window was a twin-sized bed on an oak bed frame which Willow’s father had made, on the bed was a black cat with white paws, who Willow had names Rena. Beside the bed and in between the two windows was an oak bookshelf that Willow’s father had made to match the bed frame. On the wall that held the door there was a tall wardrobe, which matched the desk that sat between the two other windows. The wardrobe and the desk were both antique and were made long before the rebellion in District Thirteen. At the desk, on this particular night, sat Willow, who appeared to be starring at something intently. The object of Willow’s gaze was a book (which happened to be titled Dragonquest) that she was reading. The book was leather bound and the pages were thin. It was easy to see that this particular book had been read many times. Willow turned the page and the smell of an old book went through the air. She breathed deeply as her eyes traced the words on the page.

“Tweed, get down here!” A voice sounded throughout the house.

Willow jumped when she heard these words and turned to look at the open door, but she made no move to get up and go down stairs for two reasons; the first was that Storm had called her Tweed, and she refused to be called that because it made no sense, whereas her nickname for him made sense, and the second reason being that Willow was almost finished with the book and wouldn’t move until she was finished reading it. She turned back to the book and resumed reading, thinking in the back of her mind about how if she didn’t finish the book before going downstairs, then she wouldn’t be able to focus on the movie later.

Willow had read two more pages when Storm called again. “Wills! Come on ok.” A brief smile flashed across her face, he had given up, but Willow still wasn’t going to move, she had less than four pages left. “I need company” Storm continued, but this time he used a weird accent. Willow arched one eyebrow and her eyes flew across the page, absorbing every word. "Wills! We should start it now, oh, I'll go make some pop corn - hurry up, where's Luke? What's this movie called?" Storm asked. Willow sat reading for a few minutes before standing up while she read the last few lines of the book. When she was finished, Willow shut the book and ran downstairs, her head filled with thoughts of Thread, which plagued Pern’s skies, and the dragons which held fight Thread. She found Storm in the pantry, and shot him a skeptical look. “The popcorn’s in the kitchen.” She said, with a chuckle. A door squeaked and out of the corner of her eye, Willow saw Luke enter through the front door. “And that’s where Luke is. And, we have three movie options; The Shinning, It’s Alive, or…that other one that I can’t remember the name of right now.” Willow said, walking to the kitchen. “Hey Luke.” She greeted Luke, who nodded at her.

Storm smiled as he heard Willow come down the stairs. By the time heard Willow say. “the popcorn’s in the kitchen.” He was getting a little frustrated with the pantry which not being very nice to him popcorn wise. He stupidly walked over to the counter and called "got it." And was thankful that Luke walked in and saved him from a soon to be awkward moment.

With the moment having washed over him, Storm eagerly put the popcorn in the microwave ready for the movie to start.

“And that’s where Luke is. And, we have three movie options; The Shinning, It’s Alive, or…that other one that I can’t remember the name of right now.”
"Isn't it called Case 39? That looked nice and scary." He waved to his friend too who nodded to him as well.

As the popcorn finished it's poppage duties, Storm put them in a bowl and hopped over the back of the couch so he could get the good seat. He saw Luke moving in that direction and he didn't want to risk it. He caught all the falling popcorn and when one kernel hit the ground his face fell, but then remembering the only reason he could do that in the first place he smiled at the lone kernel as if he was proving the Capitol that they were wrong. He realized that that must have looked rather odd but realizing neither of the siblings were there yet he called, "so.... I think you should sit down and we should start."

Willow smiled when Storm walked into the kitchen and called “got it.” She pressed her lips together in order to not laugh when she saw the frustrated look on his face. “Nice face, Sparky. The expression is priceless.” She said, watching as he placed the bag of popcorn in the microwave and pressed a button.

"Isn't it called Case 39? That looked nice and scary." Storm said, with a wave to Luke, who nodded back. “Yeah...that’s it.” Willow said, and then turned her attention to Luke. “Hey Luke, were almost out of fondant and food colouring, I need you to order them tomorrow when you go to the supply store. ‘Kay?” She continued. “Hey Wills…uh, yeah sure. D’you need anything else?” Luke replied, getting a glass from the cabinet and filling it with water. “Uh, I don’t think so…but I’ll check tomorrow morning though.” She said, her forehead scrunched slightly in thought.

"So.... I think you should sit down and we should start." Storm’s voice came from the living room and Willow rolled her eyes. “Patience is a virtue.” She called in a sing-song voice, though she did mae her way towards the living room. Luke followed behind, his glass of water in hand. “So how was your day?” He asked. Willow sighed. “Good, just tiring. Some Designers from The Capital were in the bakery today. One was Aleiha, the other was…well let’s just say she wasn’t the nicest person in the world.” She said, as she made her way into the living room.

When Willow saw the look on Storm’s face she couldn’t help it, she burst out laughing; he was standing right beside the couch looking at a single kernel of popcorn that had fallen out of the book, with a strange childlike grin on his face. In some was Willow thought he looked like a puppy. Real nice, you have only proved my theory that either a. you are a four year old, or b. you are a puppy. I personally would like to go with b.” She said with a smile as she sat on the couch and tucked her legs under her. Luke chuckled and set up the DVD player and then sat on the floor in front of the couch, motioning for Willow to pick up the remote and press play as he did so. The slender red head girl complied and pressed play.

Fraught in concentration, it took Storm a second to realize what she was talking about before he quickly caught himself and stated, “why thank you. I try.”

As Willow began telling Luke about what they were running low on and what not, Storm’s attention was switched to the popping popcorn. 37-36-35 He would say the beeps in his head right when they happened and was so drawn in to a simple heating device that he didn’t realize that their conversation on food was short-lived.

Once the popcorn was ready he went to the living room and heard Willow call out “patience is a virtue,” in reply to his comment. He wasn’t exactly happy with this comment, but it kept his mouth shut all the same. He watched the two walk over to the couch and they started talking about work. Can you believe it? Right before someone was about to watch their first horror movie they had to bring out the concept of work. Although every instinct was telling him not to, Storm didn’t say anything. He knew how much of child Esq. he must have been acting.

Storm didn’t really realize what he was doing when Wills started laughing at him. She then said, “real nice, you have only proved my theory that either a. you are a four year old, or b. you are a puppy. I personally would like to go with b.” And he simply shrugged. Somehow, he seemed to get that a lot.

As the movie finally began to start, Storm was so excited that he was slightly bouncing. However, he stopped abruptly at a punch from Wills. Once the movie was started and dragging on, he got more and more scared. He had heard that these movies were scary but he had no idea of the abnormality of this manor of life! It was dastardly! Just as he was on the edge of his seat knowing that the guy was there, but where? Storm jumped and slightly screamed when the guy appeared right behind the protagonist holding an axe! Okay, it was a little more than a simple jump and a scream. The popcorn in his lap seemingly jumped out of his hand and made rain!! The popcorn broke free and did what it was meant to do! And the er …little scream. Was a scream that could have challenged his younger sister. Storm’s voice was low and all, and after that scream his voice hurt, but embarrassment was sent through the roof when Luke looked at his sister and said, “nice Wills.” Storm sunk lower into the couch and attempted to use a pillow as the top of his turtle shell.

After pressing play, Willow had to fast forward through some comecials advertising movies from the past. She chuckled a bit at all the 'coming soons' and 'now on DVD and Blue Ray.' Very few movies had survived out of the billions of discs that had been created, to Willow, it seemed ironic that the people who had watched the DVDs had counted on a bright and bountiful future, full of technology for public use. yet here they were stuck with the Hunger Games and limited technology to use in a house.

The squeaking of the springs inside the couch brought Willow out of her thoughts. Willow glared at Storm for a moment, knowing that he was bouncing on the couch and causing the spings to squeak, but he was too focused on the movie to stop bouncing. She aimed a quick punch at his shoulder and he stoped, which silenced the noise. With a roll of her eyes, she turned her attention to the movie.

The movie didn't scare Willow that much, which sort of dissapointed her, she was hoping that the horror movie would be at least a little scary. Occasionally, Willow would glance over at Storm to see him cowering at the other end of the couch. The third or fourth time she glance over, Willow had to resist the urdge to laugh; her looked ridiculous.

During one of the more intense scenes, Willow jumped a little, but her reaction was nothing compared to Storm's; he'd let out a high scream and jumped, causing the popcorn to go all over trhe couch. She stared at hime for a moment, shocked. "Nice Wills." Luke said. "Uhh....Luke? That wasn't me. That was Storm." She said, before laughing and glancing over at Storm again. Willow raised an eybrow in a silent question as she saw Storm with a pillow covering his head. "Someone's a little scared, aren't they?" Willow said teasingly.

The movie was brilliant! Storm found it impossible to tear his eyes from the screen. He would often accidentally miss his mouth while blindly trying to eat popcorn. He was drawn in, the emotions of the people on the screen were his own. He felt …attached to them in a way. Whenever someone died he was sad, whenever someone was about to be killed, or in a scary situation, he was scared with them. At one point, he just knew that the killer was there but he didn’t know where and the music stopped. All was silent – all were waiting.

BOOM.

The bass crashed making a wild beat just as the killer appeared right behind the protagonists… (at least he thought, he wasn’t sure how much longer they would live.) This made him jump and he could feel Willow’s sharp eyes on him. The popcorn started raining and Luke and Willow were saying something. “SHH, Storm said, but they didn’t stop.”

Ok, they were talking about his little scream. He had made a small scream. Big whoop.

“I’m sorry, the popcorn has a mind of it’s own, it just jumped out of the bowl because it wanted to fly!! And it did …until it fell. Poor, poor ice cream. Dot dot dot. I mean popcorn” ((typo I decided to keep.))

"Someone's a little scared, aren't they?"
“I’m not scared for myself, I’m scared for the people.” Storm retorted.
Another scene and Storm was terrified again. He scooted over to Willow slowly and when he was close enough to be sure that there was someone else in there and he wasn’t alone, he whispered, “ok, maybe a little bit.”

“SHH!” Storm said trying to silence she and Luke. Willow looked at him with raised eyebrows and then turned back to she and Luke’s conversation. “I’m sorry, the popcorn has a mind of it’s own, it just jumped out of the bowl because it wanted to fly!! And it did …until it fell. Poor, poor ice cream. Dot dot dot. I mean popcorn” Willow laughed so hard her stomach hurt. “Oh. So there’s ice cream now too!” She said between fits of laughter.

“I’m not scared for myself, I’m scared for the people.” Storm retorted. “But one is only scared of something that could harm them, so you are scared for yourself! The ending is really good though.” Willow said, thinking about how at the end the girl’s case files were set on another workers desk, implying a repeat of what had happened in the movie.

Willow felt Storm scoot over towards her on the couch, she wonder briefly what that was about. “ok, maybe a little bit.” He whispered. She smiled and gave a small chuckle; he was scared and starting to act like a little kid again. “That’s the point of horror movies, stupid face!” Willow replied with a whisper.

Halfway through the movie, Willow started feeling tired. She tried to keep her eyes open, but failed. Every few seconds or so, Willow would jolt awake, but soon the seconds grew into minutes. She heard the sounds coming from the speakers and understood the voices, but as soon as another word was said, she’d forget the word before it.

Willow woke up as soon as the movie was over. The voices and music, which had made her sleepy, had stopped and she’d woken up to the sound of silence. She sat up, only now aware that she’d been sleeping on Sparky’s shoulder. She looked at Storm with bleary eyes. “So?....What did you think?” She asked, stifling a yawn.

((I could NOT stop laughing as I read over my last reply. Before I started writing this one...))

"SHH!" Storm shouted again, swatting in Willow's direction. "I don't care about the ice cream right now, they're about to... no, no, don't go in th- oh crap he's going in."

"No, no. That can't get me. It's in a frickin' tv screeny thingy!" He said quickly without taking his eyes from the screeny thingy.

"Oh that's good... but still, why aren't you guys scared?" He met her eyes for a brief moment but quickly turned back. "Not fair. You guys have a gazillion of these, you can watch them any time you like!" He pouted in a whisper back.

Storm noticed Willow fall to his shoulder. He was honestly baffled that she could actually be asleep while watching something like this. But he just rolled his eyes, kept watching, and soon forgot that she was there. AS if right on cue, when the movie ended, Willow woke up. She looked up at him and asked what he thought. "It... it was." He furrowed his brow as a variety of different emotions coursed through him. "Well... it was brilliant! Terrifying! And you're right, excellent ending. Though it all seems unreal." He looked over at Luke who had a bored, tired look to match Wills'. "Wow." He muttered under his breath. Turns out his horror movie experience wasn't exactly what he thought it would be.

Willow rubbed at her eyes as Storm voiced his opinion on the movie. He looked disappointment flashed on his face as he glanced at Luke. Willow followed his gaze and saw that her older brother was also tired. "Sorry Sparky...long day...long, busy, day. And of course now that I've taken a nap I won't be able to sleep tonight." She said with a small sigh.

Willow flicked her fiery hair impatiently out of her face, but when it fell back into the same place she'd flicked it out of, she hastily put it in a sloppy bun. Luke yawned. "Well. I'm off to bed. Night y'all." He said, getting up with a stretch. "Night Luke!" Willow called. "Oh, yeah, I'll leave a list of the things I need you to get on the fridge." She added as she made his way upstairs. "okay." She heard him call in between creaks of the stairs.

She turned to sparky with a smile. "So?" She said as she poked him in the stomach. "What was your favourite part of the movie?"
