| I am reading, to my undying shame, The Kneebone Boy. It is way too young for me and it gives me a headache, but I need to work on my children's literature skills.
Also, Naomi, if you're reading the same Shadow I read a while back, don't bother. : P

| so usually I spit an sneer at cheese teenager novels and like to read Lewis, G.K Chesterson, Tolkien, Thurogh....[]but[/i] I am reading a cheese teenager series and I. Can't. stop! Its written by Cassandra Claire and it has a Mortal Instruments series with a total of 4 books going on 5 and a sort of prequal to that series called the infernal devices which has the 1st book out and the second one comming in september i think, im not sure. So here is their order Infernal Devices (set in late 1800's) 1st book: Clockwork Angel 2nd book (to be released in December I think): Clockwork Prince (click here for web site) Mortal instruments (set in now times) 1st book: City of Bones 2nd book: City of Ashes 3rd book: City of Glass 4th book: City of Fallen Angles 5th book (to be released 5/1/12): City of lost Souls 6th book (to be released 9/1/13): City of Heavenly Fire (click here for web site) I love love love this series and have fallen in love with Jace and Will (if you have read this you know what I'm talking about) Sorry to explode in a fit of girly passion over these but the plot is electrifying. It has to do with a race called shadow hunters (click here to read about what they are) and...as horrible and embarrassing this is..the book does deal with vampires and werewolves....I know! I know! They are sooooo over done and cheesy and stupid but that is not what the book is about it just deals with them....so yah...I love this series and hope yall do too. (if you don't want to buy the books you can get the for free on your computer in something called a PDF file...just sayin.) | |

| I love that series, but I've only read up to 3. I had no idea there were more in the series. | |

| i like that series well enough. Got very, very close to barfing when I read Clockwork Angel and figured out that Will is basically Jace and Jem is basically a combination of Simon and Alec, though. SLOPPY CHARACTERIZATION. STOPPIT.
That said, I think she did well with settings. And the witty banter makes me want to squee over the fact that Hilari Bell's spirit lives on.

| Witty banter is a beautiful thing non? And I think she likes the dark/conflicted/mysterious boys vs the comfortable, easy going, realistic boys | |

| I read it...meh. It was around if not below average. I love old stuff, archaeology and all that, but that book seemed to get distracted | |

| Why, yes, I have! And I didn't like them at all. Definitely not enough to join an RP site based around them. (And I was totally thinking of making that joke myself. Ha.) Anyhoo, a fun young adult series is the Maximum Ride books by James Patterson. Also, if anyone wants a book that is so funny you get weird looks from people on the bus for laughing at your book, I suggest Nightlight, the Twilight parody. It's really short, but it's hilarious. | |

| XD. I don't think I've read the Hunger Games before. And I did look at Nightlight, even though I didn't get it. Me and my twin brother were laughing so hard at that. | |

Right now I'm reading Avalon High, to my undying shame.

| That's really awesome, Willow! I loved both those books so much. Right now, I'm reading Dragonfly by Julia Golding. It's a political fantasy, with some very nice themes of fear of the unknown and prejudice against misunderstood cultures. I love it. Or, I loved it when I first read it. Now the icy, unemotional priestess-princess and sport-loving, heart-on-his-sleeve prince remind me uncomfortably of Pythonhair and Warmaster... | |

| I know! My favourite character has to be Peeta because he is so sweet and he madly loves Katniss. If I could be a character, I would want to be Rue though. But all my friends say I act and look like Katniss. | |

| I LOVE that book. And normally, I hate civil-rights-era fiction, but The Help is gorgeous.
Currently, I'm reading Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt. 362 pages of angst about Irish childhood and poverty? Yup. Worth it? Yet to be seen.
