Where's my home? ((Quiris RP to join))

Quiris had given Arianna the plate of cookies.
"Oh, here. You can have one." Arianna said. She was happy she had a friend, even if she was about to move away. She didn't want to leave, but she had to. Quiris had been drooling, too. Arianna felt bad. She knew she should give Quiris another one, but she would be completely out of cookies if she gave anymore to anyone but her siblings. Quiris had asked Arianna if she could come before the reaping to visit. Arianna made a plan.
That night Arianna was going to give Rosalynne some cookies, to soften her up. Then she was going to ask her about visiting. She told Quiris the plan. Arianna told Quiris to meet her at the park at 4:30 in the afternoon, so they could discuss the plan. Arianna went back to bed. She kept the plate of cookies near her, so no one would take them.

Quiris took the cookie and ate it very quickly! She was so hungry and wanted another, but thought it would be very rude. Arianna told Quiris about the plan and Quiris was very pleased. "I really want Rosie and Ashleigh and Carter to visit as well. They are really nice - well I mean - you know what I mean and we have 2 gust bedrooms and you can stay with me in my room!" Quiris was now very happy. Arianna told her to meet her at the park at 4:30 and Quiris said yes. Quiris then left and at 4:30 she made her way to the park.

"I really want Rosie, Christina and Ashleigh and Carter to visit as well. They are really nice - well I mean - you know what I mean and we have 2 gust bedrooms and you can stay with me in my room!" Quiris said to Arianna. Arianna laughed silently. How was it that Quiris's moods changed so quickly? Arianna did not know, but she thought it was hilarious.
"I think that would be great!" Arianna said. Arianna was so happy.
"Okay." Arianna said. "Well, I'll see you at the park in about 4 hours." said Arianna. She walked into her room and fell asleep.

"OK have a good sleep!!" Quiris said. She walked back home and she sat down at the kitchen table. She started thinking about the reaping. She wanted to be in the Hunger Games but she didn't want to die, so maybe she didn't want to go in the Games. Quiris had lunch with her brother and then at 4:30 she walked to the park. She sat down on the swing to wait for Arianna. Quiris was really excited about the plan and knew that Arianna could make it work.

Arianna was sleeping really hard. She didn't even remember what happened after Quiris left. Nothing much, really to remember. She fell asleep right after she left, anyway. Arianna was dreaming about the Hunger Games. She was wondering what the arena would be like this time. She doubted that any of her or her siblings would get in, but she and her two younger siblings were elligable, so she couldn't know for sure. She woke up with a start.
She totally forgot about the meeting at the park with Quiris. She looked up at the clock. Oh, good. It was 4:45. She wasn't going to be that late. She got some regular clothes on, and walked over to the park.
Quiris was sitting on one of the swings. Arianna didn't think that she saw her, so she went into the bushes behind the swingset, and planned on scaring her. She was just going to jump out of the bushes and playfully say boo. Then she remembered how sensitive Quiris was, so she decided not to. She walked out, and sat on the swing next to Quiris.

"So . . ." Arianna said. "What do you think we should do tonight?" Asked Arianna. Then she had a great idea.
"Hey, Quiris. Don't you think it would be great if you, me, and Ashleigh had a sleepover tonight???"

Arianna asked Quiris of she wanted to have a sleepover. Quiris thought that was a wonderful idea and couldn't wait. "I would love to have a sleepover with you! My brother left this morning to go visit someone in District 6 and I'm all alone for 3 days so I'd love too and you can come to my house tomorrow too and we can just hang out." Quiris started talking so fast even she didn't know what she was saying. "But, we have to talk about the plan after Rosie goes to sleep."

"But we have to talk about the plan after Rosie goes to sleep." Quiris said to Arianna. She was talking really fast. She also said something about the sleepover, but Arianna didn't catch it.
"Wait . . . the sleepover plan or the other one, because Rosie needs to be awake for the other one . . ." Arianna started walking back to her house. She motioned for Quiris to follow. As Arianna stepped into the house, she was so suprised. Carter was sitting there on the couch. She looked at Quiris, and walked over to her.
"I'm so sorry." Then Arianna walked out.

Arianna stepped into the house and Quiris followed. There, sitting on the couch was Carter. "I'm so sorry." said Arianna, and she walked out of the house. "Wait, you can't just leave! I know you said you have to leave when Carter gets back, but can't you just wait for this night to be over? And where are Rosie and Ashleigh? Please stay for the night! Quiris didn't understand why Arianna would just leave. It made no sense.

((Quiris, there's nothing wrong with your post, but just so you don't get all confuzzled, Arianna has another sister too, named Christina.))

Arianna heard Quiris say yell something behind her, but she didn't catch it. She didn't care that much, anyway. She just wanted to go somewhere, anywhere, just so she could think things through a little bit. She was so confused. She started slowing down without even knowing it, for she had been running as fast as she could to get away from her house. She started climbing an oak tree. It was a really big tree, with a lot of thick leaves, which was good, because she didn't want anyone to find her.
Why does everything bad thing possible happen? I mean, that's what it seems. Let's see. I make a friend, but we became friends over something bad: my little brother being whipped. Then my older sister tells me that we have to leave. Great. What's wrong with my life? I mean, everyone's life is bad around here, but it seems like my siblings and I get it the worst.
Arianna was crying now. She wasn't even feeling bad for her siblings anymore; she was feeling bad for herself. She had never had a single friend before, and finally, when she makes one, she has to leave the district. Her life sucked.
"Hey small child." someone said. Arianna looked down. Of course. Christina found her. Christina always found her. Christina started climbing the tree.
"Don't. I don't want --" Christina shushed her. "I didn't come here to take you back home . . . I came here to comfort you. And when you're ready, you can go back home by your own choice." Arianna smiled. She didn't like to pick favorites, but Christina had always been her favorite sibling. She wanted to stay here forever, just sitting in the comfort of her sister's arms.

Arianna didn't answer Quiris, but ran away instead. Quiris just stood there. She wanted to follow to Arianna, to scream at her and get mad at tell her that what she was doing was wrong, but she couldn't. For onw thing it would be rude, but for another she knew that this is what Arianna and her family had to do. But why now? Can't she just stay the night? It was going to be so much fun! They were going to do tons of fun stuff and now she just left! Quiris turned and ran home. On the way she stopped. She started crying right on the spot. She just didn't understand it. She walked the rest of the way home, still crying. She went to her room when she got home and just lay on her bed crying. She didn't know what to do. She fell asleep, and dreamt of what life would be like without Arianna.

Arianna was sitting in the comfort of her older sister's arms. She was sitting in the oak tree. She wanted to stay there forever, but she knew very well that she had to go soon. She started to nod off. She was dreaming. What would life be like in the other districts? She did not know, but she dreamed about it.
"Hey. I think we should go back now" Christina said. Arianna didn't catch this, so she kept on day dreaming.

Arianna got down about half and hour later, and she walked over to the park.

She had always been able to think better there.
"Hey." Someone said. Arianna looked up. It was Carter. Arianna managed a smile.
"Oh, hey Carter. Is your back better?" Carter smiled the widest he had in a long time.
"Um . . . yeah. It's better." Arianna laughed a little. She didn't know why, but it felt really good to laugh.

Quiris was sitting in her bed, crying. She knew she was overreacting,but she was really upset! She wish her brother Nate was there to comfort her, but he was in District 6 visiting his friend. Quiris got up and got a tissue, wiped her nose and went to the kitchen. She got some juice out of the fridge and poured it in a glass. She wanted to go back to Arianna's house, but she didn't wanna be rude. Then, she had another idea. She walked back to the square and then she walked to the healers. She would talk to her.

Quiris knocked on the door and the healer answered. "Come in, come in." the healer said. Quiris went in and sat down. "Hi, my name's Quiris." She sat down and started talking. "I know that girl Arianna and she is leaving the District and I know I'm being too sensitive but she can't leave!" The healer leaned in. "There is something you should know about Arianna. She doesn't want to leave, but she's a family person and she will do anything for her family." Quiris nodded. The healer continued. "If you want to be close to Arianna, you must giver her space. Now run along child." Quiris stood up, thanked her and walked out. She went back home and just sat on her couch, thinking. She would leave Arianna and her family alone for a while so they could make up their mind.

Arianna was still sitting on the swing. She was thinking. She looked out over the horizon. It was nearly sunset. Another day gone. Thought Arianna. She was dreading the day that she would leave. She knew she had to, so that she could help protect her family, but she did not want to.
"What are you thinking about??" asked Carter. Arianna hesitated. She didn't want to tell him, but what choice did she have?
"Well, I'm sitting here, and I am dreading the day that we're leaving. I mean, when will it be? A week, two weeks, or even a day? I mean, how could Rosie force us to leave? I just got my first friend that I thought would actually remain my friend, and now our older sister is taking her away from me."

Carter had a look on his face. Arianna couldn't put her finger on it. Was it understanding, or was it one of those looks that people get on their faces when they're making fun of you on the inside?

"You and me both, sista" replied Carter. "I mean, not about the first real friend thing, and all, but about the leaving thing. Now I feel bad, because all of this leaving stuff is basically all my fault." Arianna started ruffling his hair, and then gave him a big hug.
"It is not your fault, and you know it. You know who's fault it is." Carter nodded.
"The Capitol's" Arianna smiled. He got it right. Almost anything could be blamed on the Capitol in those times; the mistreatment from the peacekeepers, the hunger, all the blood shed of the youth, and so much more.

Carter started holding Arianna's hand, and looked straight into her eyes. For a moment she thought that he was gonna start crying, but then he simply stood up and shouted at the top of his lungs "And now! I have to go pee!!" Arianna bursted into laughter, and almost fell off the swing.
"Okay psycopants, you go do that." And without another word, Carter walked away to the house. He stopped by a tree, took his shirt off, and tied the sleeves around his neck like a cape. Then he got a marker out of his pocket and wrote 'psycopants' on his stomach. Arianna started laughing again.


About fifteen minutes had passed, and Arianna was just swinging on the swing. Arianna looked over at where the houses are. She looked over by Quiris's house. She kept looking, and Quiris walked into her house. She had been walking from the square area. What she had been doing in the square, she did not know, but she did know (or thought) that Quiris hated her, so in stead of walking over to Quiris's house, she in stead started walking home, thinking of what the day ahead would be like.

Quiris just stayed in her house and didn't go anywhere for a few days. She didn't know where to go. Nate was coming home in a day and Quiris was so excited. Her brother was the most important person to her and she was sooo excited to see him. That night she went to bed excited.

In the morning, she ran to her kitchen and got something to eat quickly. She then put on her best clothes and went outside to sit on her porch and wait for Nate. At 10 o'clock, she saw him coming up the street and she jumped up and ran toward him. He put all his bags down and picked her up and hugged her more than he had ever hugged her before. "I missed you so much." he said to her. "I missed you more." she replied and he set him down. She picked up his bags and they walked home together. They talked about his trip and then she told him all bout Arianna and everything that happened. They got to the house and she helped him unpack. "I'm sorry about Arianna. I know it must be hard for you but have you thought about her? I mean she was to leave and she has to go to a whole other district and meet new people. I love you Q, but you have to think about her." "I'm just sad. And I want to feel bad for her and I do!"

"Then your butt over there and figure out something to say to her." Quiris nodded, hugged her brother and grabbed her coat and walked out the door. She was going to go tlak to Arianna and fix everything. But now she had to figure out what to say.

Quiris was walking and not paying attention to where she was going when she ran in to - Arianna. Arianna told Quiris that they were leaving tomorrow and Quiris looked down at her feet. "Oh well OK. That's cool. I hope it works out for you and your family." Quiris had to stop talking so that she would not cry. She couldn't dare to look at Arianna's face. "Well," said Quiris. "Maybe I will come by tonight and say bye to everyone else. Then, without looking at Arianna or saying anything else she turned to walk away. She didn't want to give Arianna a chance to talk, because she knew that Arianna would try to talk. Quiris remembered what Nate said. She had to listen to what Arianna said. She turned back around looked Arianna in the eyes and forced a sad smile. "I will listen to whatever you want to say - if you want to say anything. I just want you to know that I'm her for you, whenever you need me."

"I will listen to whatever you want to say - if you want to say anything. I just want you to know that I'm here for you, whenever you need me." Quiris said, after turning back around. Arianna didn't even try to say anything, she just ran up to Quiris and hugged her.

"Bye" Arianna whispered into her ear. "I'll miss you so much." And then Arianna turned around and walked away.




Arianna walked through the front door. She looked at the floor. It was covered in clothes. Why??? Oh wait. Duh. They're packing up. Arianna didn't even want to finish her thought, because just imagining leaving was heartbreaking to her. Then a different thought came to her.

"Hey, um Rosie? Yeah. Okay. How do you even know when the rebel train will come by??? I mean, how do you even know that it's coming tomorrow morning? Arianna thought she would get Rosie with this, but Rosalynne was too smart for that.

"Ah, it comes and it goes. If it's not there in the morning, it'll most likely be there around noon. We'll find a way to stop it so we can board it. Hopefully they'll recognise me from the games so they'll let me on. But I don't know . . . now, get on packing."

The breeze felt good. The air was a little bit chilly. There was dew covering the grass. It wasn't a good day to be leaving.

"You guys have all the stuff you need?" Rosie asked. Arianna had packed about 7 shirts and 7 shorts, not that much. She knew they had to go back, so she left some of her stuff.

"Yes." Arianna said, avoiding everyone's eyes.

"It's okay Arianna." Christina said.

"Yeah, even I don't want to go, but it's for the best. Now, let's go." Rosalynne said.

Rosie led them all out the door. Thankfully it was too early in the morning for anyone to be out and about, because if they saw all of the Redclouds standing outside their house with suitcases, then they might have gotten the wrong (right) idea.

Rosie led them out over by the edge of the woods, and they sat there, and waited.

Arianna had just said bye and that she would miss her, and Quiris was completely heartbroken. Quiris walked home and told her brother what happened then started crying immediately. He held her in his arms and comforted her. She fell asleep in his arms.

In the morning Quiris went and sat on the swings alone. Arianna wasn't there and Demetrii was dead already. She had found that out a couple days ago and was sad about that but even more sad about Arianna she decided to walk to Arianna's house and see what was happening there.

Arianna was walking over by the gate. Arianna had to stop every minute or so, because of her suitcase. Arianna looked back. It was sad enough that they had to leave at such short notice, but Quiris was standing right outside the door. Why she was up this early, Arianna did not know, but she did know that she had to say a better goodbye.

"Quiris!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Arianna shouted. She didn't want to shout again, because the first one was a risk anyway. Arianna was pretty sure that she had caught Quris's attention, so she just stopped and sat down on her suitcase.

Christina and Ashleigh saw what she was doing, so they stopped too and sat on their suitcases. Carter did the same. Rosalynne stopped, but she refused to sit down. That's just her personality though, she's just a strict person in general.

"Ughhh!!! Is this really necessary???" Rosie asked. Arianna didn't answer, she just sat there and waited for Quiris to come.

Quiris walked over and she looked at all of them. "Hi. So I just wanted to tell you all that I'm going to miss you and I don't want you to leave but I know that its the best thing for your family. So yeah umm bye." She looked at all of them and swallowed back her tears.

She turned to walk away, something stopped her. She turned around and look right at Rosie. "Why are you leaving? Just tell him explain every detail. Why are you leaving?

All of them were stunned. They didn't know how to answer to Quiris's question. It was so absurdly unexpected that they weren't really sure what she meant. Arianna was the first to decipher the message. A pang of guilt hit her. She realized that ... Quiris wanted to know why they were leaving. Arianna began to cry. She couldn't stop. They had to leave, but they just couldn't for some reason. Arianna knew that she was going to, but she had to tell Quiris before she left.

"Um. Quiris? I'm so so sorry." Arianna chocked, "but it's not safe for us here any more. I'm not good with goodbyes, so I really don't think it's that good of an idea to have come here. I'm so sorry." Arianna gave her a giant hug.

"I will miss you so much. Thank you for everything. I promise I will come back to this district again. Just ... don't do anything extremely stupid." Arianna managed a smile, and turned away from Quiris for the last time in a long time.
