India nodded and looked up at Mason then looked back to Annette. "All clear, You coming?" She asked. India tugged loosly on her jacket and started to climb up the ladder swiftly. She tripped over the last rung of the ladder trying to get out. She landed on her knees with a loud thump. Blushing bright red, she tried to get up quickly, but that only managed to make her trip and fall again.

India finally got up quickly, and blushed bright red out of embarrassment. "Great. I just met these people and I've already started to make a fool out of myself. Get it together India," She thought to herself, looking down. She beat away the dirt on her knees furiously, making sure there wasn't a spot left. She shook her hair back, recomposed herself and crossed her arms. "Hunting you down? I've seen you around town. You never seem to be doing anything really. So what is it exactly that you do?

Annette followed up after them and stood behind them. She crossed her arms and looked up at the sky. I could run now, she thought, and leave Mason and this girl. But that would only make matters worse.

She brushed her hair back with her hand and laughed a bit. "Best way to celebrate your parents deathday.." she muttered and climbed the tree a bit to sit down. She looked down at the two of them and leaned her head back against the base of the tree.

She went through her back and grabbed her notebook to write in. She scribbled down what had happened that day, word for word, and laughed at it. What a terrible day. If he gets in the games, yeah right. If we both did, I would be the one to die before him.

India looked up and watched Annette climb the sturdy tree. She removed her jacket and set it on the ground, carefully spreading it out. She shielded her eyes from the hot sun. It was already beating down on them with its supreme heat. She sat on her jacket cross-legged. What do these kids even do? Why are they being chased down? Nobody know, let alone know why they are being chased down India had so many questions. She didn't know to ask them or not. She decided not to, knowing that it would be better. Maybe if she kept her mouth shut she wouldn't get into any trouble. So she went with the simpilest question she can think office . India looked up at Mason, who was still standing. "What is it that you do exactly?" She asked again. She looked at him curiously, crossing her arms. Waiting for an answer. "You can at least inform me with that much."

Mason sheathed his sword and chuckled at the question about his occupation " if you must really know im what the peacekeepers and gangs call a demon, i get paid for hunting gang members." he sat down still griping his sword which hid under his trench coat, he quickly turned his head as he heard a twig snap, he pressed the small button on the hilt of his sword and pulled out his crossbow and aimed it in the general direction a group of dogs emerged from the brush as mason stepped back " move slowly don't run" he put his crossbow back with a large clicking noise which startled the dogs and they growled more.

mason noticed these dogs had bullet proof protection on and the capitol emblem on the backs, he began to unsheathe his sword and he whispered a word our to to himself " 100 percent, you girls better run this will not be pretty" he pulled out his sword and the dogs lunged at him, he slit the firsts neck with great speed as he kicked the other into a tree.

India nodded and quickly ran to the nearest tree. There was no time to talk. She had to think fast. Stay and help, and probably die. Or climb to safety. She started to climb. One dog came to the trunk of the tree, and began to bark furiously. Scratching away at the trunk and trying to climb. India thought quickly and grabbed a sheathed knife from he knapsack. She uncovered the knife and aimed at the dogs forehead. She threw it skillfully and it stuck right into the dogs head. There were three more knifes in her knapsack, so throwing that one wasnt a waste. She jumped down from the tree, as she wasn't very high up, and disloged the knife from the dead dogs skull. She moved just in time for one dog to come running at her. She managed to slice down its leg, but it didn't do any real damage to the dog who was clearly unaffected by the knife slice. She threw her knife again, and missed as the dog leaped quickly out of the direction the knife was thrown.

Annette groaned and stayed where she was in the tree. "Doesn't everything in your life have to be so freakin' dramatic, Mason?" she yelled with a tired sigh. When Annette got angry, her accent stuck out more then it should. "You can tell us to run, but the least I can do is help."

Annette grabbed her bow and arrows of of her bag and shot the dog coming at India. She smirked to herself when it hit through the eye. Slowly, she crept up to her feet and watched from above to take aim. Breath, she thought to herself, breath and shoot.

She let go of the bow-string and let the arrow fly straight at a dog farthest away. "If you get in a tree, they can't climb up it very well!" She laughed at the two of them and climbed one branch higher to see better. Another shot missed, and she was almost out of arrows. The thought of that made the back of her spine tingle and shot another arrow at the dog closest to India.

the dogs started retreating back into the brush " hurry lets get out of here before we have to deal with peacekeepers" mason kicked the hatch to his safe-house close and pulled Annette and India back to the district fence before any other trouble happens he started to climb the fence as he glanced at man watching them from a roof " Wolf" he murmured to himself as he hoisted himself up over the unpowered fence as he sees the other two crawl under " why must i put myself in the sharp spot" he said trying to breath as he jumped to the ground " those were not ordinary dogs they were mutts

(i know its below 150 words but i barely had any time this evening)

India climbed up the unelectrified fence and jumped down. She looked around and dusted off her jacket. She managed to pick it up before one of the dogs could've gotten a hold of it. It was so special to her. She tied it around her waist and adjusted her knapsack on her shoulder. Shaking her hair back, she sighed and said, "Well. I wasn't expecting to run into that situation today." She muttered in Spanish to herself. Los niños pueden ser un problema. Pero me quedo con ellos por un tiempo.

She looked back and saw Annette standing behind her. She hasn't really shown herself. And she did climb up in that tree. India forgot she was there until she saw that arrow soar through the sky and protect her from that wild dog. She pulled out a scrunchie and tied her hair back while looking at the town that lay beyond her stance.

Annette jumped over the fenced and balanced herself when she hit the ground, steadying herself with Mason's shoulder. "Okay, what is with today anyways." she sighed and leaned back against the nonelectrical fence. "First you killed people, now this? Am I going to be the last one to die today or what?"

Secretly, she liked all this adventure. It was better then what she experienced every single day. She stared back at India curiously. "Yo hablo español. Siento haber tenido molestado tu rutina diaria." she laughed. "I'm a bit rusty from all the languages I speak, sorry."

She shoved her hands in her pockets and moved her head a bit to get her hair out of her eyes. Annette smirked a bit and looked forward. "Alright, what's the next plan of destruction fo you have, Mason? Is it another one to get us killed? I think I'd like one like that." she said in a sing-song voice.

India cringed at the words "Killed" and "die" but supressed a small smile. "Ah, impressive. You speak Spanish." She dragged out her words slowly. It was just her accent that made her do that. She hated it. "And don't worry. You didn't disturb it. Its better than what I do everyday, and I have to admit this was a bit exciting. But apparently, this kind of thing happens a lot." She shot her look toward Mason. "Did you guys just like meet today or what?" She crossed her arms and shifted from foot to foot, Rocking from side to side, tucking some strands of hair out her face and behind her ear.
She let out a breath and looked up at the sky, then looked back around. She raised her eyebrows up at Mason and Annette, waiting for an answer. India can get nosy sometimes.

((It's kind of funny because I actually speak 4 different languages.. xD The ones that don't really matter.))

Annette bowed her head. "They call me Patch because I 'patch' information together such as languages," she smiled at her, "I've been trying to figure him out since the minute I met him. And to answer your question, it was just this morning."

Annette looked at him. "I met this bloke by him killing a few guys, me killing one instead to protect myself. I don't think it could really be more entertaining then that." Her accent stuck out like crazy. I think I'm going hysterical.

"This isn't what I normally do. Usually I just go to the woods and hunt or take pictures with my camera. That's what I usually do but it changed until Tess left. I don't understand why I've been sucked into this whole mess." Annette gazed at the buildings before them and looked around. "We may be attracting attention if you haven't noticed. I mean, maybe we should keep moving."

She started to take a step forward and looked back at them to see if they were going to follow. "I'll buy you guys dinner if you want. How does bread and soup sound?"

India took a step forward. "I like your accent," she said and smiled. "And I understand. I'm starting to think he's a little crazy, if you ask me." She shot her look toward Mason. "No offense." She looked back at Annette. "Usually I go to the meadow. I never see any one there, that's why I like it so much. That's also why I was sort of surprised to see you guys there. I hunt too."

She nodded at the offer of dinner. It's good if she would have some now. She'd cook at home later. Might as well give more to her family since she'd already have some. I should stick with these guys. They seem pretty cool. And mom does say I need more social interaction with people. "I have some money too. I'll pay half, if that's okay. I don't want you spending your money on Mason and I. I mean, you just met us." She compromised. She at least wanted to make a nice impression on these people if she was going to stic with them for a while.

mason came to attention at the word money, it rung like a chime to his ears " speaking of money i need to give Annette her half i promise" he said pulling the bag of money the peacekeeper gave him for his extermination project, he opened the bag and gave the half to Annette " there 150 dollars, for food and other stuff" he chuckled as he Ran down the street toward the market. he increased in speed as he ran down the street dodging civilians. he stopped at a nearby Butchery who had a special on pig that afternoon, he began to walk in when he noticed some peacekeepers chasing a man through the streets

India stared at Mason as he handed over the money to Annette. She watched as he ran down the street. She turned to Annette. "So he's just going to leave us here? No me gusta. I don't want to go home yet!" India stomped her foot like a little toddler about to throw a tantrum.

"I'm going to follow him," she said to Annette. "Come with?" She asked her. "I kind of don't want to go alone, considering the fact that probably anywhere he goes there's danger around." She untied the jacket from her waist and put it on. The sun was going down and it would get a bit cold soon. She shoved her hands in her pockets and raised her eyes. "Please?"

She looked down the street and squinted. She could still see Mason, but just by a little bit. She took a step forward. She wanted to go follow him, but not alone.

Annette shoved the money in her bag. "Well, it's possible for him to do that. It is Mason." she rubbed the back of her neck. "We'll follow, don't worry. He's a slow runner, well for me." She tied her hair back and stared at her.

"You might be getting yourself into a lot of trouble. From what I've experienced in a day I can say that seriously." Annette clipped her bag to her pants and looked at her. "Start running, we're going to need to catch up!" She said and took off, looking back to see if she was following.

Annette was always a fast runner. It was her favorite thing to do. She watched as Mason got closer and closer but kept back so she would know where to stop if he did.

India nodded. She understood exactly what Annette was saying. Danger seems to follow him everywhere he goes. It might be dangerous to hang around him, but India didn't care. She loved adventure, she loved excitment. And frankly, being friemds with this kid, Mason, was exaclty the way she was going to get it.

India groaned, and started to run. She hated running, always had. India was an athletic girl, but has never been good at running. She was already far behind Annette when she began to run. She would eventually catch up with her. She tried to run faster, but felt herself blacking out. She slowed down and eventually caught up with Annette. She stopped and adjusted her knapsack, which the strap was falling down her shoulder.

She placed her hands on her knees and breathed heavily. She looked at Annette. "Dang girl, you're fast."

mason watched as Annette and India came up behind him " what does it take to get myself away from you guys" he laughed as he sat down on the hard stone road, he began to feel a erg to help the guy who was being chased but he controlled himself " so if were going to have dinner we will need a place to go to, so any ideas." he said pulling out his notebook full of gang members and their pictures, he stopped at a old man who had a ace of clubs next to his picture " this card is my next pick i guess" he said reading over the information about him, while taking a drink from his canteen he choked when he read that the man was the chief of the peacekeepers in the area. " my god i am screwed"

India crossed her arms and leaned against the building standing tall behind them. She tilted her hea back and lookes at the darkening sky. She tugged on her sleeves of her brown jacket. "Oh you know you don't want to get away from me, Mason. I'm amazing." She smiled and winked in his direction.
"I honeslty have no ideas." She put her hands up. "Sorry." She breathed heavily, feeling her chest close in.
She widened her eyes and her hands flew to her chest. India sat down on the cobblestoned sidewalk slowly and put one hand to her forehead. India tried not to draw Mason and Annette's attention to what was happening. She tried to breathe quietly but it was no use. She was having an asthma attack. It wasn't much a big deal, but India wasn't prepared and it threw her off guard. She didn't have one since she was 9.
She sprawled her hands onto the road and tried to steady herself. What the heck? She thought. She couldn't breathe properly, and she felt herself getting dizzy.

Mason noticed the symptoms of a Asthma attack and quickly reached into his bag and pulled out a first aid kit with his mothers old inhaler inside. he grabbed it and ran over to India and tried to help her. when he was done he got up and packed up his first aid kit " my mother would have them occasionally so i would keep one with me encase i have to use it" he said putting his backpack on his back and looked at her " and please don't wink at me " he said with a smile as he sat down and waited for his future orders or ideas to come raining in

India let Mason help her, although she rarely lets people help her with anything. "Thank you, Mason," She mumbled. She hates letting people help her. It makes her feel like she can't take care of herself, or anyone else when she asks for help. No hay nada malo en pedir ayuda de vez en cuando, her mother would tell her. "There is nothing wrong with asking for help once in a while."
"I'm sorry, I don't usually have those." She told Mason. "And I wink at everybody. It takes some getting used to, though, for people." She winked at him again and laughed. Although she hates getting irritated by people, she has no problem annoying others.
India looked up and noticed it was getting really dark. Her family would be worrying about her.. Her house was just two blocks away from where they were resting. Should I go home? Should I stay here?

A long days work in the mines had drained most of Cato's strength. It was taking everything he had left ti drag his broken self home. The cold air was stiffening his joints and he sat down to warm them up. He rubbed his legs vigorously to get some warmth back into them. Darkness was quickly settling upon District 12 and he knew he had better continue home. Of course home was a relative term, it was only a broken down shack, but at least it was a roof over his head.

He stood up and took a cursory look around him. His eyes settled upon two girls and a boy. They didn't appear to be doing anything, but if they didn't move quickly they would be caught by the Peacekeepers. He walked slowly over to them wondering what to say. Before he had ample time to think of something he reached them.

"Ummmm, you had better get back to your homes. You don't want to be stuck out here come nightfall, let alone have a run in with the Peacekeepers."

Not wanting to draw more attention to himself he began to walk away from them feeling he had done an ample job in helping them.

India was too busy amusing herself with a small pebble on the road to pay attention to the stranger who came up to them. It was only when he began to speak, she turned her attention to the stranger. He had a soothing voice, like it forced her to listen. She did feel like she needed to head home to her little house. She wanted to feel the comfort of her bed. The safety of her father protecting the house. But above all that, she couldn't go home, she couldn't face the shame that she brought among her family. She cannot face the fact that she has been disowned. She couldn't go back.

"I don't have a home," India lied, hoping that there will be some sympathy in this man. "I can't go home, I don't have one," she repeated. She looked down and pulled her jacket tight around her. "But you two should go," She said to Annette and Mason, "I wouldn't want ro be the one getting you in trouble."

At first Cato didn't register that the person was talking to him. He had figured his walking away wouod have shown he didn't want to converse. None the less he turned his ear to her and listened to what she had to say. She had no home it would seem, it was a feeling that he could symapthize with. The problem was the small shack that he owned was not an area that had much room, not to mention he tried to distance himself from people. On the other hand he knew it wasn't right to leave her out in the cold at the mercy of the Peacekeepers. He turned slowly and walked back to her.

"I will take you to my home, it isn't much, nor do I have much, but I shall share what I have." He watched as she pulled her jacket closer to her and he sighed. The one thing he had to keep himself warm and he was going to give it to this girl. He reached into his back pocket and took out a cloth neatly folded into it's smallest form. Carefully unfolding the cloth it became what appeared to be a scarf. Small bits of red coal littered the fabric, warm and inviting.

"Here take this, it will ward away the cold at least until we reach my house. I heated it before leaving the mines."

Without waiting for a responce or to see if the other two were moving he began to walk away. He made a quick motion with his hand that invited the girl to walk with him.
